Description
No 13 is a corner house in a terrace, now functioning as a shop and likely originally two cottages. It dates from the late 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. The building is roughcast with a slate roof, which has asbestos slate on the projecting front gable, and features stone stacks. It is a large structure with a hipped corner and a projecting jettied gable to the right, which is timber framed and was originally hipped. The house has two storeys and an attic. The gable includes one 19th-century sash window on the first and second floors. The rest of the facade has scattered windows and two 19th-century gabled dormers with decorative barge boards. Inside, the ground floor features a large chamfered and stopped beam with a plain center section that marks a former passageway.
