Description
No 32 is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating back to the 16th century. It features a timber frame with close-studding visible on the upper floor at the northern end, while the rest is plastered. The building has a steep old red tile roof and consists of six bays over two storeys, facing east. It has a large central chimney that was formerly located in the third bay from the north, along with an internal gable chimney at the southern end. The front has a continuous side-jetty along the street.
On the upper floor, there are four windows with two-light flush casements. The ground floor is divided into two sections, with the main entrance and flanking triple sash windows on the left. To the right, there is a shop door flanked by a sash window with six-over-six panes on the left and a small divided 19th-century shop window on the right. There is also a door leading to the upper storey in the northern gable end.
Inside, the building features a clasped-purlin roof with curved wind-braces and close-studded partitions with tension braces. Additionally, there is a 17th-century glazed lattice two-light window in the rear wall.
