Description
No 7 Silver Street is a mid-18th century house located at the end of a terrace. The main facade is made of rubble stone that is rendered, featuring ashlar quoin bands, a plinth, and string bands at the level of the window heads. The roof is covered with Cotswold stone slates and has two rendered end stacks. The house is a single range, standing two storeys high with an attic. It has three windows, which are 12-pane sashes with plain stone architraves. To the left of the central entrance, there is a 16-pane sash window with a cellar window below it. The central entrance features a six-panel door, with the top four panels being fielded, and a rectangular fanlight above with wide double X tracery. To the right, there is a carriage entrance leading to the back yard, which has an ashlar surround and keystone, along with double doors that have 12 flush panels. The attic includes two 20th-century dormers that have a continuous flat roofline across the width of the house, faced with Cotswold stone slates that cut into the cornice band. To the left, the verge between the roofs of No 7 and No 9 is also covered with Cotswold stone slates.
