Description

BLEDINGTON THE GREEN SP 2422 12/60 Home Farm (formerly listed as Home Farmhouse 25.8.60 and Barn) GV II Detached house. Late C17-early C18, late C18-mid C19 and late C19. Early core coursed squared and dressed limestone and sandstone; coursed squared and dressed limestone otherwise, stone slate roof. C20 ashlar stacks. Early core with gable-end projecting forwards on right. Late C18-mid C19 extension at right angles left, late C19 extension rear left. Early core; 2 storeys and attic lit by double-chamfered stone-mullioned garret window, 2-light roof dormer to extension on left. 3-windowed facade; 2 and 3-light, double- chamfered, stone-mullioned windows with stopped hoods to early core, 3 and 4-light casements with leaded panes to late C18-mid C19 extension on left. Central 2-panel C20 front door with flat stone canopy with moulded margin supported on stone brackets over. Interior not inspected.
