Description
Beckley House is a detached house built in the early to mid-18th century, with a 20th-century extension at the rear that is not of special interest. The house is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring an ashlar facade and a stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. It has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, which is illuminated by two 2-light 20th-century roof dormers that have 20th-century casement windows. The symmetrical facade includes three windows, all of which are 2-light stone-mullioned casements with leaded panes. The central entrance features a 6-panel 18th-century door, topped by a projecting flat stone hood with a moulded margin, supported by stone brackets. The gable ends have stacks with moulded caps and skirtings, and there is a stone flag wall across the front of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
