Description

This is a house situated in a terrace. Parts of the property date from the 16th century, with alterations likely made in the early 18th century. The construction is of random coursed rubble stone, with a Cotswold stone slate roof and a brick stack on the left-hand side, likely shared with the adjacent property at No. 20. The front elevation retains vestiges of a large central bearing arch, along with quoins. A medieval 4-centred archway is visible on the ground floor to the left; this aligns with and probably continues an arched passage found at Nos. 5, 13, and 15 The Chipping, to the northwest. The house has two storeys and two windows with 6-pane sashes and stone lintels on both floors. A central doorway, approached by two stone steps, features a deep panelled reveal and a four-panel door with the top two panels partially glazed.
