Description
The William Vann Hadwen monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St James, approximately 14 metres north of the tower. It commemorates William Vann Hadwen, a surgeon from Northleach who died in 1835. The tomb is made of limestone and features iron railings. It has a rectangular shape supported by four freestanding miniature Doric columns. An inscription can be found on the south side, and the monument is topped with a hipped capping stone that has a gadrooned margin. Below the monument, there is a draped urn-like feature.
