GV II

Reputed former malthouse, now used for storage. C18. Random roughly squared limestone with dressed stone quoins; stone slate roof. Long rectangular plan wth a contemporary extension at right angles at rear. Two storeys. North-east elevation: four 2-light casements to the ground floor three with heavy-pegged wooden frames and wooden shutters; three matching windows with shutters above the latter; small fixed 2-light casement below the eaves upper left. Double doors to garage at the south-east gable end. Low double doorway off-centre left to the south-west front; 2-light window with a heavy-pegged frame and shutters above; stone steps up to a plank door to the malting floor to the right of the double doorway. Pitching door with a small 2-light fixed casement to the forward facing gable to the right. Two low openings with a single timber lintel at the north-west gable end (probably formerly pigsties); 2- light window with a heavy-pegged frame and a timber lintel and shutters above. Interior: 7 bays with the original collar and tie beams. Plastered walls.
