Description
The Pike Memorial is a chest tomb located about 13 meters west-southwest of the northeast gate in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. The earliest decipherable date on the memorial is 1766. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with a moulded plinth on a tall base. The capping is cyma recta moulded with indented corners. The ends and sides have plain fielded panels, with flanking strips on the side panels, while the end panels are elaborately carved. There is an inscription on the south side, which is nearly obliterated, dedicated to a person named Matthews.
