Description
Dating back to the 18th century, with some 19th-century alterations, Hartley Cottage and Wake Cottage form a group valued for their contribution to the character of the area. The cottages are constructed of coursed rubble with a tiled roof. They are single fronted on the left and double fronted on the right, presenting three windows in total. On the ground floor, there is a bay window to the left and two three-light casement windows with small panes of glass to the right. A panelled door is located to the left, with a plain door to the right. The upper floor features two and three-light stone mullioned casement windows. There are two brick stacks, one single and one paired.
