Description

Middle Farmhouse is a former row of two houses, now a single house, dating from the 17th century with a 19th-century extension and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. It has a cross passage with a projecting front gable and stands two storeys high with an attic.

The east front includes a 4-centred arched doorway and a projecting gable wing to the right. There is a chimney with a diagonal shaft at the ridge and one original 4-light recessed chamfered mullioned window with a hood moulding to the left. The other 4-centred arched doorway, along with the two and three-light windows, are from the 19th century, as are the attic dormers with timber casements. At the back, there is a lateral chimney stack and a single-storey wing from the 19th century. The chimneys are topped with moulded caps.
