Description

This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary, approximately 9 metres north of the chancel. It commemorates Thomas Bridges, who died in 1726, with an inscription on the south side. The north side features inscriptions for Elizabeth Bridges, who died in 1720, as well as for Thomas Bridges, who died in 1775, and his wife Eleanor, who died in 1776. The tomb is adorned with quarter balusters at the corners and fluted marginal panels on either side of the inscription on the north side. It is capped with a moulded margin.
