Description
The gate piers and gates located to the south-east of Broadlands House, dating from around 1833, are made of stucco over brick. They feature a pair of gate piers with recessed round-arched panels and chamfered caps. The double iron gates have arrowhead bars and dogbars, with a lower panel decorated with scroll designs and arched braces. Historically, these gates and piers marked the entrance to a formal avenue leading to the center of The Park development. They are an integral part of a group of original piers that contribute to the significant streetscape feature in The Park.
