Description
This is a pair of gate piers dating from around 1833 to 1850, located at Greenfield (No. 35) in Cheltenham. They are made of sandstone ashlar, which has been painted and covered in stucco. The piers feature shaped plinths, shafts with indents at the angles, a frieze, a cornice, and a shaped cap. Each pier stands approximately 2 meters high. They are an integral part of a group of original piers that contribute to a significant streetscape feature in The Park.
