Description
This is a pair of gate piers with adjoining gates located at Brooks Lodge (No. 29) in Cheltenham, dating from around 1840, with the gates added around 1980. The piers are made of stucco over brick and feature iron gates. They are square in shape with insets at the angles of the shafts. Each pier has a plinth, a dentil cornice, and shaped caps. These gate piers are an integral part of a group of original piers that contribute significantly to the streetscape in The Park.
