Description
This is a pair of gate piers located to the east of Broadlands House, dating from around 1833 to 1850. They are made of stucco over brick and are square in shape. The piers feature chamfered plinths and shafts with recessed round-arched panels. There is a band and cornice with a cap at the top. These gate piers are an important part of a group of original piers that contribute significantly to the streetscape in The Park. Note that the late 20th-century gates between the piers are not included in this description.
