Description
This boundary pier dates from approximately 1833 to 1850 and was designed by SW Daukes. It is constructed of ashlar facing brick. The pier is octagonal in plan and features a plinth, cusped decoration to the shafts, quatrefoils to the frieze, and a shaped cap. It is a rare survival of a Gothic-style pier within The Park and forms an important part of a group of piers (listed separately) which contribute to the quality of the streetscape.
