Description
This pair of gate piers and gate, located approximately 50 metres north-northwest of Brookdale, dates from the mid-19th century. The gate piers are made of rendered stone rubble and feature granite caps and finials. They are square in shape, with rusticated render and square granite caps that have concave necking leading up to large granite ball finials. The wrought iron gate for the carriageway includes rails with diagonal bracing, and the stiles are bent over the top rail in a scroll design. The bottom rails are closely spaced and rise just above the dog-rail.
