Description

This is an early 18th-century pedestal tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary, approximately 5 metres southeast of the Allen family monument. The tomb features a raised oval inscription plaque on the west side, which has a partially legible inscription surrounded by reeded marginal panels. Above the plaque is a frieze decorated with swags, a design that is repeated on all four sides of the tomb. The structure is capped with a moulded margin and a curving upper pyramidal stone.
