Description
This is a 17th-century house and shop, situated at the end of a row on Prestbury High Street. The building is timber-framed with rendered infill and has a thatched roof. It has a rectangular main body with later extensions to the rear. The house is 1½ storeys high and originally comprised four bays. The first floor has three eyebrow dormers, each containing early 2 and 3-light casement windows with leaded panes. The ground floor features three canted bays, with a plate glass window on the far right. A blocked part-glazed door is located to the left, alongside two 19th-century part-glazed doorways. Internally, sections of a cruck truss are visible on either side of the fireplace, marking the point where the roofline changes in height.
