Description

The Old House is a house situated within a row, likely dating from the 17th century, with alterations in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a slate roof and brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan. A flat-chamfered plinth runs continuously with the neighbouring Bwthyn Maen. The house has two storeys and an attic, with two 4-pane roof dormers providing light to the attic space. The first floor has two 12-pane sash windows with horns. The ground floor has a 16-pane sash window on the left and a tripartite sash window on the right. All windows are set within wide architraves, with shorter panes at the top and bottom of each. A 20th-century eight-panelled door is positioned off-centre to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
