Description
This cast-iron pillar box dates from between 1866 and 1879. It was designed by JW Penfold and manufactured by the Cochrane Grove Company of Dudley. The hexagonal letter box is decorated with elaborate leaf motifs and features the ‘VR’ royal crest. This pillar box is one of nine located in Cheltenham, and is situated at the junction with Marie Hill Parade on St Paul’s Road.
