Description
The war memorial in All Saints Churchyard was built around 1920 and is made of limestone ashlar. It features a Calvary scene with Christ on the cross, flanked by figures of Mary Magdalene and the Virgin Mary. The memorial is set on a tall plinth that is inscribed with the names of those who fell in the First World War. The rear face of the cross-head is carved with the image of the Lamb of God. This memorial is an unusual example of a First World War commemoration and is prominently located next to the Church of All Saints, which is a grade I listed building.
