Description

Crescent Parade consists of two terraced houses, now used as offices, along with attached railings. They were built between 1820 and 1850 and feature stucco over brick with slate roofs and iron railings. The buildings are three storeys high with a basement and have six first-floor windows arranged in a 3:3 pattern. The stucco detailing includes horizontal rustication on the ground floor, except around the windows, which are set in wider recesses with panels underneath. Each house has a central window on the first floor that features a cornice supported by consoles, along with a continuous frieze and a moulded cornice on the right. The windows throughout are 6/6 sashes in plain reveals, with taller windows on the first floor and smaller ones in the attic. The entrances are located to the right of each dwelling, accessed by a flight of roll-edged steps leading to four-panel doors with side-lights and continuous overlights. The buildings also have a blocking course with copings, and there are stacks at the left end and party wall. The interior has not been inspected. The subsidiary features include spearhead area railings and railings on the sides of the steps.
