Description

Straw Cottage is a 17th-century cottage located in a row of buildings on the west side of The Burgage in Prestbury. It features a timber-framed structure that has been rendered, topped with a thatched roof and has a rectangular plan. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has a two-windowed facade with two eyebrow dormers on the first floor. All windows are 20th-century two-light casements with diamond leaded panes. The central entrance has a 20th-century plank door adorned with decorative strap hinges. The interior has not been inspected.
