Description
The Lindens is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a concrete tile roof with ashlar stacks, while the porch has an artificial stone slate roof. The building has a rectangular plan and is two stories high with a five-windowed facade that includes chamfered quoins. All windows are 2-pane sashes with horns, set within moulded architraves that have keystones.
Access to the house is through a 19th-century porch located at the right gable end. This porch has a plank door with decorative strap hinges, framed by a moulded lugged surround, a pulvinated frieze, and a triangular pediment, which likely was originally positioned at the center of the facade. Above the door, there is a small gable with moulded coping and kneelers. The right-hand return of the porch features narrow double-chamfered single and two-light casements with stopped hoods. The roof is hipped, and there are axial and off-the-ridge stacks on the main body of the house.
