Description
Providence House, built in the mid-19th century, is a house with solid rendered walls and a slate roof, featuring rendered chimneys at each end of the ridge. The building has two storeys with a garret and a three-window front, which includes a recessed, one-window addition to the left. The central doorway is round-arched and has a glazed gabled porch with panels of coloured glass and perforated bargeboards. Raised keystones flank the front of the house. The windows are fitted with shaped flat architraves and two-paned sashes, except for the blind middle window on the second storey. A late 20th-century dormer is present, and the left addition features a 19th-century conservatory in front of the ground storey. The upper-storey window has a fixed four-paned sash with margin-panes. The property is complemented by a high garden wall with end-piers that sweeps down to a gate in the centre. The interior has not been inspected.
