Description

Providence Cottage, built in 1824, features stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys and three ranges of windows; the first-floor windows are casements with pointed arches and Gothick glazing bars, while the ground-floor windows are French casements with marginal glazing bars. There is one half-glazed door. A verandah extends along the ground floor on the south and east sides, topped with a tent roof and supported by trellis work piers. Surrounding the cottage are red brick garden walls on the north, west, and south sides, which ramp upwards over two pointed arched doors.
