Description
No 12, including the forecourt walls, is a house dated "C.H. 1921," built by Orphoot and Whiting of Bideford for Christine Hamlyn. The ground floor is made of coursed whitewashed rubble, while the upper floor features timber framing with plastered and whitewashed nogging, supported by two rough projecting stone corbels, with a gable above. The building has a single room on the frontage with an entrance hall to one side. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a symmetrical two-window width. The attic features paired two-light metal casements with glazing bars. On the first floor, there is a two-light and a three-light metal casement, both with glazing bars. The ground floor has a three-light metal casement with glazing bars, and to its right, there is a panelled and glazed door. The forecourt is enclosed by stone rubble walls. The interior has not been inspected.
