Description
No 104 and its forecourt wall, along with No 104A, are a house located in Clovelly, likely built in the early 19th century and altered in the early 20th century for Christine Hamlyn. The building is rendered and whitewashed, topped with a slate roof featuring gabled ends and ornamental bargeboards on the left side, along with end brick stacks.
The house has a two-room plan with a wing behind what was once a heated room. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a symmetrical three-bay front. The windows are early 20th-century two-light transomed casements, with the top lights consisting of 16 small panes and the larger lower lights having four panes. The attic features gabled dormers with early 20th-century two-light casements containing 12 panes each and ornamental pierced bargeboards.
The central door is a three-panelled early 20th-century design with a circular glazed light, and there is a porch with a flat roof supported by wooden posts and a cornice. The forecourt is walled with rubble. The interior has not been inspected.
