Description

Numbers 107 and 108 are two adjoining buildings located in Clovelly, likely dating from the mid 19th century. Number 107 is a house, while number 108 is a small cottage that has been created in a wing of the house. Both buildings are rendered and whitewashed, featuring gabled slate roofs at two different levels, with a brick chimney stack at the right end.

The layout of number 107 consists of a two-room plan with a central stair hall and a cellar located beneath the left-hand room. There is a 19th-century wing added behind the right-hand room. The exterior of number 107 is two storeys high with a basement, displaying a symmetrical two-bay front. It features late 19th-century four-pane sash windows with exposed sash boxes, and the window on the ground floor's left side has had its emphasized plastered keystone removed. The corners of the building have emphasized alternating plastered quoins. The central entrance has a late 19th-century four-panelled door topped by a cambered wooden hood. In front, there is a stone-flagged forecourt with a rubble retaining wall, and the ground slopes down to the left, where there is a basement entrance with a plank door.

Number 108, situated in the gabled wing to the left, has a lower roof level and no openings on the front wall except for a 20th-century half-glazed door, along with a rubble-walled forecourt. The interior of the buildings has not been inspected.
