Description
The Posting House is a house dating from the early to mid 19th century, with a later addition at the rear. It features solid rendered walls and a slate roof, with rendered chimneys on each gable. The building is two storeys high with a basement and includes a garret in the rear addition. The front is symmetrical with a three-window range and a round-arched central doorway. This doorway has a raised cement surround and an eight-panel door, with the lower four panels designed as a St Andrew's Cross. Above the door is a large fanlight with very thin radial bars. The windows are eight-paned sashes, each with a raised cement surround and lintels that project slightly at each end. The eaves cornice is decorated with paired brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
