Description

This is an early 19th-century house located on Bull Hill in Bideford. It has solid, rendered walls and a slate roof that is hipped at the front. A rendered chimney is on the left side. The house is three storeys high, with a single-storey lean-to added to the left. It originally had a two-window front, reduced to one window in the lean-to. The front elevation, facing Lower Meddon Street, has a doorway positioned on the right; the original right-hand ground-floor window was altered to accommodate the doorway. The door has a beaded wood frame, with a diamond-shaped panel on the lintel and a moulded cornice above. The windows are 8-paned sashes in box frames. The return front to Bull Hill has a matching window on each storey. A plain board runs below the eaves on both fronts. The interior has not been inspected.
