Description
The game larder, located adjacent to the driveway entrance of Clovelly Court, dates from the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble and features a gabled slate roof with rafter ends visible at the eaves level, wide eaves, and clay ridge tiles. The front of the building has a prominent gable that breaks forward and is weather boarded. The structure is a small rectangular, single-storey building with one room and two doorways at the front. The exterior is symmetrical, with the central gable above the two door openings, which have louvred upper sections made of wood. Additional wooden louvres are present on the gable face and in the windows on each side and at the returns. Inside, there is a tie-beam roof and rails with hooks for hanging game.
