Description
The game larder, located about 50 yards north-east of Overbury Court, dates from around 1900 and is likely designed by Richard Norman Shaw. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a stone tiled roof laid in diminishing courses with overhanging eaves supported by corbels at each gable end. The building has a small rectangular plan and is a single storey with a chamfered plinth.
The side elevations consist of two bays and include 3-light windows with transoms; these windows are unglazed, with the north side having wire mesh infill and the south side featuring louvred windows. The east gable end has two 2-light windows, while the west gable end has one 2-light window and a door with a moulded architrave. Both gable ends have windows with wire mesh infill, and the gable apex above is louvred. At the center of the roof ridge, there is a large hipped-roofed rectangular lantern with two louvred panels on each side. This small building is prominently located near the main entrance to Overbury Court and the coach-house.
