Description
No. 2 Meddon Street is a house from the early 19th century, likely a remodelling of an earlier structure. It features a solid rendered front and a steeply-pitched slate roof. There is an old red-brick chimney on the right side wall, with the upper part rebuilt. The house has two storeys, with one window to the right of each storey and a doorway to the left. The doorway has a plain surround and a flat hood supported by shaped brackets, leading to a panelled door that is probably from the late 20th century.
The ground storey includes a canted bay window with 6-paned sashes at the front and 4-paned sidelights, topped with a flat roof and a moulded cornice. The upper-storey window features 6-paned box-framed sashes, with horns present on the sashes in both windows. There is a moulded board below the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
