Description

The property comprises a late 18th-century farmhouse with an adjoining barn to the north. A 19th-century addition was also made. The farmhouse is constructed of rendered stone rubble with some cob to the barn, and has a gable-ended slate roof. There are two brick gable-end stacks, one rendered and one at the left end of a rear parallel range. Originally, the farmhouse consisted of two heated rooms at the front, with the left-hand room slightly larger, and a central entrance hall. A rear parallel range was added around the mid-19th century as service rooms. To the right-hand end is a barn, likely dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, which includes an octagonal roundhouse at the rear. The front of the original farmhouse has a regular arrangement of three windows featuring 12-pane hornless sashes, four panes wide. A gabled porch, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, is centrally positioned and contains a 20th-century plank door. The barn has a doorway on its left-hand side. The interior of the farmhouse has not been inspected.
