Description
This is a farmhouse and attached barn, probably from the 18th century, with an extension from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered stone rubble and features a rag slate roof with gable ends. There is a brick stack at the left end and a stone rubble axial stack to the left of the center.
The building has a two-room and cross or through passage plan, with the left room heated by an end stack. The ground slopes down to the left. The structure was extended in the late 18th century or early 19th century with a barn on the higher right end, and further extended in the early 19th century with a third room on the lower left end, which is also heated by an end stack.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a long, low façade with an almost symmetrical appearance for the earlier central range. It features an early 20th-century part-glazed door with a slate hood, flanked by two 19th-century two-light casements. On the first floor, there is a 19th-century three-light casement to the left and two 19th-century two-light casements in the center and to the right. The 19th-century extensions to the left also have two-light casements on both the ground and first floors. The barn on the right has a slightly lower roof and a blind back wall on this side. The rear elevation was not inspected, and the interior is not accessible.
