Description

CHUDLEIGH OLD EXETER STREET, Chudleigh SX 8679 6/71 Glencoe - GV II

House. Early C19. Whitewashed, plastered and blocked out, probably stone; bitumen- painted slate roof, gabled at ends; left end stack, stack to rear of ridge. Double depth plan, 2 rooms wide, central entrance and passage through right hand end. 2 storeys, 2 + 1 bay front, symmetrical at the left end with 1 bay above an archway at the right end. Central 6-panel front door, top panels glazed, with a flat porch hood carried on moulded timber brackets. 12-pane sash windows with margin glazing. Iron railings in front of house. Interior not inspected. This house forms a group with Alma House (no. 6.) which adjoins a the right.
