Description
Kirk Lees is an early 19th-century house located in the parish of Foolow. The building is constructed of rendered stone with gritstone dressings and quoins. It features a slate roof with a stone ridge at the front, while the rear wing has stone slates and 20th-century concrete tiles. The house has stone gable end and ridge stacks and is designed in an L-plan over two storeys with three bays.
The entrance includes a flush doorcase with a 20th-century door. On the east side, there is a glazing bar sash window set in a raised ashlar surround. To the west, a large fixed pane window is accompanied by a single pane casement beneath a flush lintel. Further along, there is a wide segmental-headed archway with double plank doors. Above this archway, there are three glazing bar sash windows in raised ashlar surrounds, with the window over the archway being smaller than the others.
