Description
The Manor House is an early 19th-century house constructed of coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. It features stone coped gables with moulded kneelers and has two ridge and two gable end stone stacks. The building is two storeys high, plus garrets, and has a layout of three bays by two bays.
The east facade includes a central 20th-century chamfered doorcase with a bracketed stone hood in a traditional style, leading to double doors. Flanking the door are glazing bar sashes set in raised plain surrounds, with three similar sashes above. The north facade has two glazing bar sashes and a blocked doorcase to the west, which now contains another glazing bar sash. Above this, there are two similar sashes, and above again, two smaller sashes that are positioned closer together.
Inside, the house retains several original fireplaces and a plain banistered staircase.
