Description
Shepherd's Flat Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed of rendered stone with gritstone dressings and raised quoins. It features ground and first floor cill bands, a plinth, and a moulded eaves cornice. The hipped roof is covered with stone slate and has lead flashings, while stone side wall stacks are present. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a semi-circular headed doorcase with stepped jambs, fluted imposts, brackets, and a moulded hood above. The door is a flush panelled type with a traceried fanlight above. On either side of the door, there are glazing bar sashes set in raised surrounds, with three similar windows above.
