Description

The Village Cross is a 15th-century structure that was restored in 1868. It is made of stone and features a stepped square plinth. The base is rock-faced and square with a chamfered top and spurred corners. Above the base is a tapering shaft that is topped by an elaborate Celtic-style cross. The cross has short side arms with rounded tops that are fleured. Between the arms, there is a cusped circle with pierced spandrels. On the west side, there is a central raised cross with raised Maltese crosses on either side of the arms.
