Description

The White House is an early 19th-century house located on Lower Eashing Lane in Shackleford. It features incised whitewashed stucco and has low-pitched slate roofs at the front, with a taller plain tiled roof on the brick range at the rear. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, with a rendered end stack on the right. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has two round bowed windows in the outer bays, fitted with plate sashes. The central entrance includes a part-glazed door set within a flat portico supported by Doric columns. The door is panelled, with the center panel being glazed. The building is included for its group value and its prominent position on the village street.
