Description

The garden walls and gate piers to the southeast of Delamore are early 19th century structures, likely built around the same time as Delamore itself. They are constructed from red sandstone rubble and form a tall garden that runs along Fore Street. At the southeast corner, there are square section granite gate piers and a wide timber gate. These features are significant to the character of the west end of Fore Street, which is characterized by a sequence of early 19th century villas set in large gardens, and they contribute to the secluded setting of Delamore.
