Description

The garden wall and doorway to the Cottage date from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a stuccoed doorway. The doorway is rusticated and has a deep cornice with a parapet that is shaped to resemble a pediment. It includes a plank door. This structure has group value with the Cottage and provides a nice contrast to the Gothic arched doorway of Vincent Lodge to the east.
