Description

September Cottage is an 18th-century house located on Rattle Street in Trusham. It is part of a row of cottages and features rendered cob walls with a thatched roof made of wheat reed. The cottage is adjacent to Box Tree Cottage, which is at a higher level to the left, and has a brick chimney positioned over the gable end on the right side. The building has a two-room plan and stands two storeys tall, with a two-window front facing northeast. The central entrance is a 20th-century door, flanked by 20th-century casement windows. Inside, the cottage has a simple interior with roof trusses that include lapped pegged collars and tie beams, and the attic has been converted. The cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
