Description

Duck End Cottage is an 18th-century house located on Duck End Lane in Maulden. The cottage features exposed timber framing and some areas rebuilt in brick, mostly covered with colourwashed roughcast render. It has a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. The building has a two-room plan, is one storey high with attics, and includes an additional bay on the left side. On the ground floor, there are two windows, while the attic features two eyebrow dormers, all of which are two-light casements with glazing bars. A part-glazed door is situated on the left side. The cottage also has two rendered double chimney stacks located at the gable ends of the original structure.
