Description
Drew's Farmhouse, which includes a barn at the southeast end, is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, possibly with origins in the 16th century. It has been significantly modernised in the late 20th century. The building features rendered cob walls and a thatched roof, which is gabled at the right end and hipped at the left end. There are two rendered rubble stacks with brick shafts; one is axial while the other projects from the right gable end. The original layout consisted of three rooms and a through-passage plan, with the hall stack backing onto the passage and an unheated inner room. The lower room to the right has a gable end stack. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has an asymmetrical front with four windows, which are late 20th century aluminum framed casements with glazing bars. The ground floor window to the right of centre is a single light. There are late 20th century part-glazed doors at the left end and to the right of centre. Attached to the left end is a single-storey rubble barn with a corrugated iron roof, featuring a cart entrance at the right end and left of centre. The interior was inaccessible at the time of the survey.
