Description

Home Farm is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble with two gable-end chimney stacks, and has a hipped slate roof. The building has an L-shaped layout, with two main rooms in the front section. These rooms are each heated by a gable-end stack positioned on either side of a central stairhall, and a service wing extends to the rear of the left-hand room. The two-storey front facade is symmetrical and features a three-window arrangement of circa early 19th century 16-pane hornless sash windows. A 20th-century glazed door is located centrally. A 20th-century verandah, supported by brick pillars, runs along the front wall. A circa late 19th/early 20th century conservatory is attached to the right-hand end. The rear wing behind the left-hand side of the property retains its original casement windows with leaded panes. The interior has not been inspected.
